Written by Bunny on July 13, 2008 – 12:54 am

Welcome to Week 2 of the DSO Dosie [doo-zeeeee] !  The Dosies are the new blog challenge we’ll be hosting every Sunday right here on the DSO Blog!  Each week will be something new and fun, so we really hope you participate along with us!  If you do, be sure to come on back, and post a comment linking us to your layout!  We would LOVE to see what you come up with!  We have even set up a special album here at DSO, if you want to post your layouts there! >> July Dosies 2008 <<

WEEK two CHALLENGE – [DSO-D002]

A Sign of the Times

When we were getting gas on our way home from a family trip, I’m not sure why but I took a picture of the gas sign.  I mean gas prices are all anyone talks about anymore it seems, and it gets everyone so upset.  After I got home, I was looking through my pictures from the day, and I thought "you know.  I should do a layout."  Years from now the kids wont believe how much gas was".  Unfortunately redoing the site has taken over my life this past two weeks and I have had time for NOTHING lately, so I haven’t done my layout yet.  Which means, I get to do mine WITH you this week. LOL…

So your challenge this week is to do a layout.  It can be of anything, like a "then and now comparison" or a layout of something you think represents "today".  What ever, just think "Sign of the times" and show us what you come up with!

Debbie sent in this cute layout (above) using one of Darlene’s kits.  She wrote: I talked to my granddaughter today on the phone.  She called me from No. Carolina where she, her dad and stepmother are on vacation.  It was the inspiration of this layout.  This is a CURRENT happening in her little life.

Well, there’s your inspiration for this week.  Now show me what you got!  And just as added incentive:  Post your layouts for this week Dosies challenge, be sure to put "DSO-D002" somewhere in your description.  Come back here and leave us a comment with a link to your layout.  Not only will you get a little comment love, but if I can find you thru your layout *like an email addy or a pm button*  I will be forced to send you a this gifty, absolutely free as a thank you for participating!

What gifty you may be asking?  WHY THIS ONE!

Nikki has given us this FABULOUS kit to give out.  {hey! get it? Nikki-fabulous, FABULOUS gift}

    Hi,

    Hope this is the corrct place to put this!

    I decided to so something that will always be the same! that children love beaches, the first pics of me and sis in 1972, then my boys in 2000 and then in 2007! I suppose nowadays its something you can do that does not cost alot! Especially now as we can walk to the beach…

    I took a bit of a different perspective as well. Given the state of the world today, I wanted to capture something that remains, at least in idea, the same. In this case, I used a picture my brother took of one of the gardens at Windsor Castle…come what may, political or otherwise, the flowers are still beautiful!
